Owen Reneck Truwa is the Human Resource Officer at MEIRU. Owen`s primary responsibilities include supporting scientific programme by coordinating Human Resources function of MEIRU in collaboration with Heads of departments, providing Human Resources management and guidance.
Owen is an associate member of the Association of Business Executives of UK and Institute of People Management Malawi. He graduated with a Bachelors of Business Administration from the University Malawi, Polytechnic. Owen came to MEIRU in May 2021, previously worked in the private sector with Mota-Engil Malawi as Head of Human Resources in various high profile projects including Kayelekera Uranium Mine at the mine`s peak of production and in other Mota-Engil mining exploration projects within Malawi for over 10 years, overseeing human resources operations to over 600 staff at each point in time.
